“Rain was threatening as the Royal Train steamed into Deganwy, a shower broke before the ceremonies there started, and a heavy downpour came on as their Majesties were on their way to Conwy.
There was more of a spectacle at Deganwy where a military escort and a band played amongst many floral decorations outside the railway station.
After inspection of the parade at Deganwy the Royal Couple drove on to Conwy, where at Castle square the Queen received a delightful bouquet of pink carnations and sweet peas from seven year old Susan Williams daughter of Pilot Officer William Ernest Williams C.G.M and Mrs Williams of “Yenton” Bron Vardre Ave …Deganwy .”
