Mae ganddo dros 40 mlynedd o brofiad ac mae ganddo ddiddordeb angerddol mewn adeiladau hanesyddol a\u2019u perchnogion. Mae wedi astudio miloedd o adeiladau yng Ngogledd Cymru fel syrf\u00ebwr, ac wedi dod o hyd i lawer o ffeithiau diddorol am eu hadeiladwaith a&#8217;u lleoliad. Fel yr eglura&#8217;r teitl, ni fydd llawer o&#8217;r tai hyn fel arfer yn amlwg i\u2019r cyhoedd. Mae Simon wedi cyhoeddi llyfr \u201cHidden Houses of Gwynedd 1100-1800\u201d ac ar hyn o bryd mae\u2019n ysgrifennu llyfrau dan yr enwau \u2018Hidden Caernarfon\u2019 a \u2018Hidden Llanrwst\u2019 ac maent yn dilyn ymchwiliad tebyg i\u2019w ymchwil ar adeiladau diddorol yng Ngogledd Cymru.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span lang=\"cy-GB\">Dangoswyd i ni luniau o nifer o ardaloedd o Ogledd Cymru a fu, yn yr oes a fu, yn rhan o diriogaeth teyrnas Gwynedd. Yn ei gyflwyniad, cyfeiriodd Simon at d\u0177 hanesyddol oedd mor hen fel ei fod yn cynnwys symbolau a delweddau o grefydd cyn Gristnogol. Aeth a ni ar daith i ymweld \u00e2 thai cudd eraill yn cynnwys adeiladau yn yr Wyddgrug, Dyffryn Conwy, Dolwyddelan, Conwy, Deganwy, Pennal, Llanrwst, Ynys M\u00f4n, Beddgelert a Dyffryn Ffestiniog.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span lang=\"cy-GB\">O ddiddordeb arbennig oedd sylwadau Simon ar y dulliau o adeiladu a ddefnyddiwyd ar lawer o&#8217;r adeiladau hyn. Cawsom wybod ar sut i bennu oed adeilad drwy archwilio a ddefnyddiwyd pridd neu galch fel morter i fondio&#8217;r cerrig at ei gilydd. Ymddengys bod llawer o adeiladau wedi&#8217;u bondio \u00e2 chalch, er enghraifft Castell Deganwy, ond mae bond pridd o dan y calch. Mae rhai adeiladau, megis Castell Dolwyddelan gyda&#8217;r rhan isaf wedi&#8217;i bondio \u00e2 phridd ond yn ddiweddarach fe bondwyd y creneliadau \u00e2 chalch.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span lang=\"cy-GB\">Rhoddodd ein siaradwr ei dystiolaeth ei hun yngl\u0177n \u00e2\u2019r cwestiwn dyrys am leoliad Llys Brenhinol Llywelyn Fawr yn Abergwyngregyn. Mae ei ymchwiliadau wedi codi mwy o amheuaeth ar y cynnig fod plasty Llewelyn yn y pentref. Barn Simon yw bod llawer ohono&#8217;n dal i sefyll ar dir uwch yng Ngarth Celyn ar dirwedd hynod amddiffynnol.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span lang=\"cy-GB\">Roedd y rhan o\u2019r sgwrs ar dai yn Nyffryn Conwy yn arbennig o ddiddorol i gynulleidfa leol yn bennaf. Roedd yn cynnwys sylwadau ar weddillion castell mwnt a beili a ddifrodwyd yn Nhal y Cafn pan dynnwyd deunyddiau ohono i adeiladu amddiffynfeydd rhag llifogydd.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span lang=\"cy-GB\">Daeth Simon \u00e2&#8217;i sgwrs i ben drwy gyfeirio at dai diymhongar yng Ngwynedd &#8211; gogwydd ar y testun o dai cudd sy\u2019n cael ei anwybyddu\u2019n aml.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span lang=\"cy-GB\">Roedd y sgwrs yn ddifyr dros ben a\u2019r siaradwr yn amlwg yn arbenigwr ar ei bwnc<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"right\"><a name=\"_GoBack\"><\/a> <span lang=\"cy-GB\">Addasiad o adroddiad Diane Williams<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yn gynharach eleni, cawsom sgwrs ddifyr gan Simon Simcox o Ddeganwy ar y testun uchod.
