Ar brynhawn Sadwrn sych a heulog ym mis Awst, cyfarfu nifer o aelodau Gr\u0175p Hanes Deganwy (DHG) \u00e2 phobl leol bwysig i ddathlu dyfarnu Gwobr y Faner Werdd i’r ardd fach yn Ffynnon Santes Fair, Llanrhos. Cynhaliwyd y digwyddiad ar 15 Awst 2026 sef G\u0175yl Dyrchafael y Forwyn Fair Fendigaid, diwrnod dathlu Catholig.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Croesawodd Kevin Slattery, cadeirydd DHG, bawb a dechreuodd drwy egluro’r rheswm dros y digwyddiad hwn a siarad am rai pobl nodedig sydd wedi cefnogi’r gwaith dros y blynyddoedd. Roedd llawer o’r rhain yn bresennol heddiw, ond yn anffodus nid yw rhai gyda ni mwyach. Mae’n debyg mai Ffynnon Santes Fair oedd y prif ffynhonnell dd\u0175r yn yr ardal leol hyd at 1908 pan gyflwynwyd d\u0175r pibellau.<\/p>\n

Y prif reswm dros y digwyddiad oedd dathlu derbyn Gwobr Gymunedol y Faner Werdd am yr ardd hon ac atgoffa pobl o bwysigrwydd un o’n hadnoddau naturiol sydd wedi dod yn fwy perthnasol yn y tywydd sych diweddar (Haf 2026). Mae gwirfoddolwyr o Gr\u0175p Hanes Deganwy wedi cynnal a chadw’r ardd o amgylch y ffynnon yn gyson ar \u00f4l iddi gael ei hailddarganfod a’i hatgyweirio gan Ken Davies a Bryn Thomas ym 1994. Roeddem yn ffodus iawn i gael cefnogaeth y Parchedig Sarah Hildreth-Osborn o eglwys Sant Hilary a Santes Fair, Llanrhos a oedd wedi creu trefn gwasanaeth i ni ei dilyn yn ystod y seremoni fendithio. Dywedwyd gweddi fer yn ein hatgoffa o bwysigrwydd d\u0175r gl\u00e2n yn ein bywydau a sut mae angen mynediad at dd\u0175r ar bob bywyd nawr ac yn y dyfodol. Dilynwyd hyn gan ddau ddarlleniad byr o’r Beibl gyda darnau sy’n berthnasol i dd\u0175r.<\/p>\n

Yna, er mawr hwyl i bawb, cymerodd y Parchedig Sarah dd\u0175r o’r ffynnon a bendithio’r gwirfoddolwyr a oedd wedi helpu i gynnal y ffynnon trwy daenellu d\u0175r drostynt, gan ddiolch iddynt am eu gwaith caled a’u hymroddiad. Roedd hi’n ddiwrnod cynnes ac anweddodd y d\u0175r yn fuan o’n dillad. Daeth y fendith i ben gyda darllen Gweddi’r Arglwydd.<\/p>\n

Yna gosodwyd torch wrth y ffynnon wedi’i gwneud o flodau gwyn a glas traddodiadol Marian gan gynnwys lili gwyn, rhosod, chrysanthemums, carnasiynau, llygad y dydd a serenni glas, chrysanthemums glas wedi’u lliwio a hefyd glaswellt a oedd wedi’i gasglu’n lleol yn Rowen. Roedd y cyfuniad yn edrych yn wirioneddol brydferth fel y gallwch weld yn y llun isod.<\/p>\n

Ar \u00f4l y gwasanaeth, aeth pawb i’r Castle View am luniaeth o de, coffi, cacen, neu dd\u0175r wrth gwrs.<\/p>\n
